Max von Mooseberg is a very handsome 4 year old German Shepherd. This gorgeous boy is the classic embodiment of a German Shepherd. Per his own words, “Hi! My name is Max. I am new to Westside but got really lucky because, in my first week here, a volunteer took me on a hike. She seemed worried about my size, but I wagged at her and tried to tell her that I know how to walk on leash. I was so quiet in her car that she kept turning around to make sure I was still there! Every time she did, I flashed her a silly grin and made her laugh. I was so excited when we got to the hiking spot; I spent the first 10 minutes sniffing around, and she asked if I would like to learn how to do nose-work. That sounds like so much fun! I recently graduated from puppyhood and am mid to high energy, so I can definitely keep up on the hikes. I was barely panting when we got to the top but the poor volunteer seemed to be having a hard time, so I constantly checked on her to make sure she was okay (I am a gentleman after all!) And, as promised, I never pulled once. She said I was the sweetest boy she had ever met. I don’t like other dogs as much, but I am never a brat about it. I can walk next to them and, if they get in my face, I just warn them to back off; I really don’t want to start a fight! I love getting belly rubs, getting my coat brushed and giving people I know and love kisses. I am not the type of dog that will love you immediately, but I will love you unconditionally once I get to know you. Please come down and ask for me; I promise to be your best friend for life.
